The origin of Flamborough Hills Golf Club goes back to 1961 when Jack and Ann Windsor shaped 18 Championship holes out of a dairy farm in the quiet hamlet of Copetown, Ontario. The Club opened for play under the name of Windsor Park and remained that way until a change of ownership in 1985 brought about the current name. Over the years, there have been many course reconstructions. The vast property consisted of rolling hills, tight fairways, and small greens making it a challenge to everyone who visited.

Starting in 1994, a third nine was created and was aptly named the Lakes course. This nine, located closest to the entranceway, has brought a mystique to the golf course offering tough undulating greens leaving you scratching your head. The original 18 hole combination is now referred to as the Hills and Woods courses giving Flamborough Hills 27 Championship holes to challenge golfers of all skill levels. The Windsor family owned and operated the course up until 1984 when the Sheppard family put their stamp on the golf course changing it to what it is now currently known as, Flamborough Hills Golf Club.
